The soul of Naples has always been expressed in its passionate, vivacious music, and Renaissance Naples is no exception. Comic street songs, erotic love poetry, wild tarantellas, virtuoso fantasias, all of these come alive when the Toronto Consort joins forces with Vesuvius Ensemble in a magnificent evening of music from 16th-century Naples. Vesuvius Ensemble is one of the world’s foremost groups specializing in early Neapolitan music, led by singer extraordinaire Francesco Pellegrino.

Join Lucas Harris – theorbist and member of the Vesuvius Ensemble for a guided tour of the music of Naples. Talks are FREE and held one hour before the concerts at 7pm, in the gymnasium.
