The Musical World of Hieronymus Bosch

The Toronto Consort - The Musical World of Hieronymus Bosch

March 3 & 4 8 pm

As our guest ensemble we are proud to present Cappella Pratensis from Belgium, one of the world’s premiere vocal ensembles dedicated to the music of the early Renaissance. In their first appearance in Canada, they present a fascinating program centred on the fantastical imagery of the artist Hieronymus Bosch, with music by Pierre de la Rue, Clemens non Papa and Jean Mouton.

Cappella Pratensis sing with an organic appreciation of line and text in a sinuously smooth legato that enfolds the ear in every phrase.
Classical Music

Generously supported by Robert Maclennan.

Additional support from The Spem in Alium Fund.

Join us for a special pre-concert Q&A with Cappella Pratensis’ Artistic Director, Stratton Bull. Talks are FREE and held one hour before the shows, starting at 7pm.

NEW LOCATION: Pre-concert lectures will now be held in Jeanne Lamon Hall, on the orchestra level. To join us, simply make your way to the lobby and enter through the orchestra level main doors.
