Featuring University of Toronto Schola Cantorum with musicians from Tafelmusik and the Theatre of Early Music
Handel's great oratorio is one of the most celebrated choral works of the 18th century — a radical vision of love, faith and sacrifice. University of Toronto Schola Cantorum with musicians from Tafelmusik and the Theatre of Early Music. Free tickets available upon request by registering with The Toronto Consort.
This special bonus concert brings together the University of Toronto Schola Cantorum with musicians from two of Canada's leading period-instrument ensembles — Tafelmusik and the Theatre of Early Music — for a landmark performance of Handel's Theodora. Composed in 1749, Theodora was Handel's own favourite among his oratorios, a deeply moving work that explores themes of love, faith, and sacrifice through some of the most beautiful music of the 18th century. This is a University of Toronto historical performance production presented in association with The Toronto Consort.
This is a free admission event. Seating is on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Please register in advance to reserve your free ticket.
All Toronto Consort performances are held in accessible spaces. All sales are final, with no refunds or exchanges. Events are subject to availability. Programming, artists, schedule, and pricing are subject to change without notice or compensation.
